Ovejeria de Hierro, 2007.
“Ovejería de Hierro” (Iron Ovejería) is a photographic essay about railway area in Osorno City, Chile. He developed a sociological comparison between the prosperous past and the neglected present use of this area called Ovejeria. The comparison was made using old and his current photography. The same year, he finished his undergraduate thesis, which mixed social science and photography. The title is “Photography as Research Source in Social Sciences”.

Memoria Sostenidad, 2008.
“Memoria Sostenida” (Supported Memory) about a religious community “Ursulinas de Jesús” in Ancud City between 1950 and 1980, funded by Regional Council of Culture and Arts of Chile. This religious community has one of the largest and most prestigious boarding schools “El Pilar” in the city of Ancud and is where Garcia studied. He collected compiled and rescued images from this religious community. After a historic and sociological analysis, he shows the strong connection between the religious community and the people from the city.

Ciudad Imaginada, 2009.
“Ciudad Imaginada” (Imagined City) funded by Cultural Corporation of Valdivia City. In this book, he invites us to travel to Valdivia through his visual and conceptual vocabulary that emerged from his photography. The images from this book allow us to see details of a rich architecture, a mix between Chilean people and German settlers; the history and the society that inhabit in this imagined city.
